| Benefits: | | I had a terrible sinus infection with bloodly and puss-y? volumous nasal discharge once every 5 minutes. Couldn't sleep much. |

| Comments: | | The first 5 pack dose was taken, on the 3rd day, discharge dramatically slowed down. After the 5th day, the symptoms had almost cleared, but not completely. Being able to breathe through both nostrils was fantastic. This drug was very expensive ($125/ pack). After the 9th day I decided to get a refill, as the discharge was returning. After completion of the second pack, symptoms cleared up. Would have been better to have a 6 pack, and I think I waited too long to purchase the second pack. I didn't like the fact that the infection started to rebuild.

| Benefits: | | Diminished sinus congestion/drainage and related cough. No hemoptysis or rust stained sputum noted after three days use of Levaquin. Throat irritation diminished third day. Increased feeling of wellbeing on third day. |

| Benefits: | | The sinus infections start lightening up within one day, the pressure disappeared within two days If the antibiotics were not prescribed in a timely matter, the infection would have lasted for month. I would have lost all sense of smell and taste for a very long period of time. |

| Benefits: | | bleeding stopped in 48hrs, severe urgency and frequency stopped in 24hrs.Urine was clear grossly not red as it was on the fist day. I didn't have to run to void after the first day. I could wait the normal time after the begining of the urge. The frequency reduced to the usual of a few times in 24 hours depending on how much I drank. |

| Comments: | | I went to Dr because it looked like a wound on my leg from a scrap was getting infected. He prescribed Levaquin for 10 days. I only took one tablet and within 2 hours I felt very lightheaded and nauseaus. I actually had to lay down and have someone call the doctor for me. They told me to quit taking it and put me on Cefadroxil (generic for Duricef) instead. I tolerated that fine. Levaquin is a very expensive antibiotic and now I'm stuck with the cost of that. They should just give it out in 1-2 tablet doses first to see if you can tolerate it before you get a full 10 day supply. |

| Comments: | | I battled a sinus infection with home remedies for two weeks. Finally gave up and went to the doc. He said to try this Levaquin as it may help specifically with the sinus infection. I took the first dosage, felt ill in ten minutes and stayed quite nauseous for two hours. I did eat cottage cheese with it. Next dose I tried eating some biscuit, but that didn't help either. Tried it with protein (meat( third dose, same results. Gave up and went back to doctor, got a zpak.

| Comments: | | About 5 years ago I had a serious recurring respiratory infection. I could not shake it, so my doctor - after using Augmentin and Septra, put me on Levaquin. The first course went well, with rapid resolution of my symptoms, but a few weeks later when the symptoms returned and I was given a second course of Levaquin, I began to have joint aches and pains which I attributed to my illness. By day 3 I could not rise from a chair. Both my mother and a close friend have had bad side effects as well. After treatment with Levaquin for 4 days, my mother began hallucinating and then had a heart attack and stroke, My friend has severe intractable pain which requires methadone for relief - after 1 course of drug. |

| Side effects: | | After two days on Levaquin I began to notice calf muscle and tendon issues. By day three it was becoming an issue when sitting down and getting up, to the point where I thought I might rupture the achilles tendon. I had never had any issues in my lower legs before. By day four I was having a lot of trouble walking and could only shuffle around. I stopped taking the drug and requested a different antibiotic. On reading up on it, I discovered I it should never have been prescribed for me - I am 61 years old and being treated with corticosteroids for RA. It was prescribed by the ER Physician and my Family Doctor. |
| Comments: | | I stopped taking the drug after 4 days. It took me 6-8 weeks to be able to walk normally again. In the 3rd week we had plans to go to a wedding out of the country, and I required wheelchair assistance at the three aiports we went through to get there. I would have missed my flights if I had had to walk. |

| Benefits: | | Although I took this drug about 3 to 4 days before I realized it was making me sicker, there were no treatment benefits during the time I was on it. Actually , I started feel worse about day 3 or 4. The drug seemed to be enhancing the sinusitus symptoms! |
| Side effects: | | The treatment side effects of Levaquin were very similar to my sinusitis symptoms, hence the fact I stayed on the drug for several days. Side effects included headache, dizziness, lightheadedness and nausea (nausea is not a symptom of sinusitus that I ever experienced before). The side effects slowly got worse the longer I took the drug. |
| Comments: | | I asked for the drug in liquid form, as I have difficulty swallowing many pills. I took the drug as recommended, but the symptoms did not get better. As I mentioned earlier, the symptoms got worse. I called my doctor's office on the third day and was told that the symptoms I was experiencing was the infection. By day 5 I knew it was the drug, and stopped taking it. After a couple of days the nausea went away, and eventually the sinusitus infection slowly got better. I will never take Levaquin again! |

| Benefits: | | Terrible! There are much safer alternatives than this poison. Most fluoroquinolones have been taken off the market. Johnson and Johnson should be ashamed of themselves. They have not warned doctors properly of the serious side effects eventhough the FDA has placed TWO BLACK BOX WARNINGS! |
| Side effects: | | SEVERE shooting, burning pains in all four extremities. Prolonged heart rhythms, hallucinations, nightmares, insomnia. Weakness and pain in all four extremitities. Was a healthy 25 year old PE teacher prior to this poison. Now in a wheelchair. |
